Responsible Trading
Our global craftspeople are at the heart of everything we do. Whilst championing Nepal’s endangered weaving heritage, we create rugs of unmatched quality that support the local economy and provide sustainable employment.
We always prioritise our weavers’ welfare, exceeding ethical standards and offering mobile health clinics to ensure their continued wellbeing.

"Collaborating with The Rug Company over the years has been deeply rewarding, and our partnership has become like family. It is an honour to contribute to their legacy, and we are grateful to work alongside such a talented and dedicated team."

Goodweave
We are proud to be a key GoodWeave licensee, ensuring no child or forced labour is used in our rugs. To be certified by GoodWeave, every weaver signs a legally-binding contract that no rug will ever be produced under these conditions, allowing unannounced inspections of their workshops by GoodWeave agents as assurance.
A portion of the proceeds supports grassroots programs in India and Nepal.
