Helen Amy Murray is recognized for her hand-crafted creations that take inspiration from nature and form to create surface relief within textiles. Helen had previously applied the techniques to leather and suede, but The Rug Company collaboration successfully translated Helen’s abstract designs into innovative, hand-carved, hand-knotted rugs. The results are truly groundbreaking, and Helen’s Peony rug was awarded the Homes & Gardens award 2008 and the BIDA Award at Decorex Fair in the same year.
